The Berlin based producer returns to Definition with a fresh 4 track EP titled 'Dark Hush'. First Frag Maddin sets the stage with 'Waterfall Behind Blue Eyes'. Slowly letting arps creep in as the atmosphere builds in the distance. By the time the kick hits, we're ready for it. Experimenting with new sounds and new directions, Frag Maddin throws a raspy vocal over the beautifully crafted track, creating a whole new dimension.

'Control One' returns to the tech house roots with a hefty kick and full percussion right off the bat. The track goes on to dip into a funk-vibe while keeping the bass tight and strong.

The title track arrives and brings with it a subtle ambience as it rises. Packing some unexpected surprises, the track is elegantly simple overall, keeping within its bounds but still delivering a punch.

His final track on the EP, 'Lighter' feeds on a house beat with the lights turned low and the electricity high. A beautiful, nearly afterhours track that still delivers a beautiful groove with plenty of energy for diverse set time.

Berlin based producer & DJ Frag Maddin graces Definition with 'Forward', a 4 track EP with plenty of groove and power to bring the dancefloor to boil.

The title track sets the tone of the EP - deep kicks and solid claps. Frag Maddin takes the track up and down with various crescendos and vocal bits before he creates drama with dark synth-work. 'Sentience' continues with a similar feel & vibe while adding a thick bassline to tickle the dancefloor into a sweat.

'Back Up feat. Paul PM' exhibits your classic house percussion with the classic house chords under a deep vocal working together to bring the lights down and energy up. The final track of the EP features an itchy bassline under many various pads creating a dark vibe and solid groove throughout. All in all, this EP is sure to satisfy more than a few eager listeners and puts Frag Maddin on the radar for good.

Definition:Music brought you Josh Butler's brilliant 'Sideways Acid' EP, showing us that the House producer knows exactly what he's doing. Now, we're back with remixes.

First up is none other than Kris Wadsworth's 'Strange Intuition' remix of 'Sideways Acid', putting a dark spin on it. Deep and heavy bass with his brand of vocal treatment under a siren-like pad creating loads of deep-night energy to get dance floors sweating.

Next up is Frag Maddin taking the original further and putting another dose of grit into the already very acid track. He knows the roots of the genre and uses them to the track's advantage and adding another level of energy.

Lastly, Definition's very own remix. Stripping the track down to its essentials, the remix captures the retro spirit finely while keeping it bare bones acid house.

The always on point Definition:Music is back with another killer house EP, this time from Frag Maddin, the Hamburg man who has impressed with previous releases on labels like Area Remote and Heinz Music. With a background that includes drumming in a punk rock band and producing hip-hop, this young and hyperactive talent has plenty of real skills that truly show in his four new cuts.

Up first is 'One Hand', a mid tempo deep house effort with dark filtered vocals sounding like your subconscious as they mutter here and there. Woody drums and rough percussion drive things along and the vibe is a curious, inviting and intimate one.

'Brochette' is a lush and even deeper number with golden chords, rough-cut drums and blissed out melodies that speak to a beach party sensibility. Next up, 'Red Eye' is another nicely analogue and textured house jam that glides along on crisp and clean hi hats, with a buried deep bassline bringing the cool and effortless funk.

Last track 'Gonna Be' is a nice elastic construction with more humid pads, nicely live sounding percussion work and well-treated vocals all fusing together into an easy to love house jam. This is a fresh, engaging EP that confirms both Definition:Music and Frag Maddin to be fine house exponents.
