German duo Piemont return with a two-tracker for Zurich's Definition:Music, 'Save Me / Elastic'. Frederic Moering-Sack and Christian De Jonquieres have been releasing their distinctive, twisted kind of house music for over a decade on the likes of Exploited, Terminal M, Skint and Area Remote - and of course Definition:Music, a label that has played host to material from the likes of Darius Syrossian, Josh Butler, Reboot, Nick Curly and many more.
First on the package is 'Save Me', a progressively tensing composition fuelled over six minutes by elongated bass drones, sweeping synth swells, atmospheric chords and a rhythmic shuffle.
'Elastic' follows and completes the release, opting for a restrained approach built on wobbling organic percussion and round bass drones next to a dynamic synth hook, snaking stabs and a buzzing vocal.

Piemont jump back on board with their latest 3 track creation, the Shuvit EP. We're no strangers to Piemont, their last EP dropped in January and here we are now.
The title track is a faster-paced tech-house number that thrives on that old house vibe. It's warm, it's bright, and it's ready for the floor. Drawing inspiration from classic house and disco, the track elicits a kind of euphoric bliss that can only be described as magic.
'Keep On' follows in a similar way, opting for a grittier, deeper feel while still keeping the classic nuances that made house a worldwide phenomenon; heavy rhythm, deep grooves and infectious vocal cuts.
The final track on the EP 'Squeeze' lightens the mood, but is in no way soft. The track bounces a bassline between the beats, creating a bouncy feel that feels just at home on the packed dancefloor of a dark and sweaty club as it does on a sunny open-air.

First up is the dark, brooding original mix we've come to know and love, building itself a dense and electrifying atmosphere while banging out a heavy groove.
Now Piemont's remix lightens the mood a bit, letting a bit of sunshine in but still keeping the energy up.
Then with his remix, Marc DePulse pulls the track back into the deep night where it thrives. The remix is glowing with a dark ambience, and effectively lures us into its shadows. A beautiful take on what was an already stunning piece.

Already having released on labels like Area Remote, Exploited, and Toolroom, German duo Piemont have delivered a 2 track EP 'On / Inhale' to Definition:Music. Frederic and Chris are already well known for their flavor of infectious tech house; and this EP is no exception. With 'On' wasting little time in getting straight to business. The track brings a solid house beat that supports a lively and warm ambience sprinkled with vocal bits and rising pads.
The next adventure is 'Inhale', a bit more funky and soulful blend of tech house with an even warmer and almost sunny vibe under the arpeggios and guitars. A beautiful track for late night or daytime sets alike.
