Definition:Music pays homage to its roots with Dene Antony's 'Lifting You Up EP'. Here, Dene leads us through a jackin' house atmosphere starting with the immediate energy of the opening percussion. Dene then pushes us further with a deep and playful bassline as the vocal crescendos. While he plays with it, the energy continues to rise and the peak is a heavy, sweaty, house track made for the floor.
Next, Dene's good friend Tommy Vercetti takes the track for a spin, reducing it to a more relaxed house track, letting the warmth take over and the percussion drive the track where it needs to go. Beautifully executed. Together with the original, the EP has shaped up to be an outstanding UK house release.
